The Confederation of African Football (CAF), also known as the "African Football Federation" in Chinese, is the official governing body for African football. Founded in 1957 by Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, and South Africa, it is headquartered in Cairo, Egypt, and currently has 54 member associations. The current president is Patrice Motsepe (appointed in 2021). The organization is primarily responsible for organizing tournaments such as the Africa Cup of Nations, the African qualifiers for the World Cup, and the African Champions League.
