The Oklahoma City Thunder (English: Oklahoma City Thunder) is an NBA basketball team located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States. The team is classified in the Northwest Division of the NBA Western Conference and plays its home game at Chesapeake Energy Arena. The history of the Oklahoma City Thunder can be traced back to 1967, when the team appeared as the Seattle SuperSonics. In 2008, the team's new owner Clay Bennett moved the team to Oklahoma City. Home City, and renamed the team the Oklahoma City Thunder, a name that is still in use today; the Thunder inherited all team history records before 2008 until Seattle once again had a new basketball team.
